About

My name is Leland Pasion. I am a self-declared outdoorsman currently based in the Philippines Australia.

I used to work for an IT research company, and as the remuneration and responsibilities stacked up with the promotions, so did the stress along with 24-hour work days and 7-day work weeks. In an effort to hang on to some semblance of sanity, I escaped outdoors. During the weekends, I searched for pockets of nature and disconnected myself from the modern world, mobile phone off and never checking emails. Soon, this became a habit. I rewarded myself for working hard by buying a bike, running shoes, camping gear, and a few tickets here and there. That was when I started living for the weekend.

On one trip, I was asking myself the existential question "What do I want to do with my life?" for what seemed to be the thousandth time. Then I thought, why not make the escape the norm? Why not live in a perpetual weekend where you can run, ride, travel, take photos, write, and enjoy the outdoors?

How? Well, that's the big question I'm trying to find the answer to.

I started this blog to chronicle my exploits and to somehow sharpen my knowledge on outdoor sports and activities. Maybe, in one way or another, it'll also help me achieve my dream of living a fulfilling life in the outdoors.

Until then, I'll be rockin' it on the road and the trails, baby.
